Animal companion will feature eight new songs.

Taking a page from Lady Gaga's playbook, Ke$ha will return November 22 with Cannibal, a nine-song "companion" to her platinum-plus debut disc Animal that, like Gaga's The Fame Monster, will be sold both as a standalone album and as part of a deluxe reissue.
According to a press release sent Wednesday (October 13) by her label, RCA, Cannibal will feature eight brand-new songs — produced by the likes of Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Bangladesh — and a new remix. The first single from the mini-album, "We R Who We R," is scheduled to hit radio Thursday.
Cannibal is set to be released both on its own and bundled with Ke$h's Animal disc in a reissue called — fittingly enough — Animal + Cannibal. And if the whole thing sounds rather, well, ravenous, well, that's pretty much what the singer had in mind.
"This year has been carnivorous and life-changing. I have my rowdy, gorgeous fans to thank for taking me on the ride of a lifetime," she said in a statement. "My only goal with this record is to keep them dancing. The songs on Cannibal were made to inspire people to ignore any hate or judgment and be themselves unapologetically. It's the perfect companion to Animal and I hope you guys like it. And if you don't like it — bite me."
Well, OK then. The announcement of Cannibal comes one day after the news that Ke$ha had been nominated for three American Music Awards — more than any artist not named Eminem, Justin Bieber and Lady Antebellum. The AMAs will air November 21, one day before Ke$ha's albums hit stores.
Will you pick up Ke$ha's new music? Let us know in the comments!

Tony Curtis died this past Wednesday, and several Elvis websites noted his passing. The reason they did this is because there are two stories connecting these two great entertainers. In case you haven?t read these other websites, here is the Elvis//Tony Curtis story that gives us a look at Elvis? sense of humor.
In the summer of 1960, Elvis and Tony Curtis were both filming movies at Paramount Studios. Elvis was making G.I. Blues and Curtis was doing The Rat Race. During breaks from shooting, Curtis liked to change into shorts and a sweater and walk around the backlot. He?d look at the old sets and try to remember where they had been used. One day he came by Elvis? big trailer and the door opened. ?I looked up and there was Elvis. And he grabs me and pulls me in.?
Elvis said, ?Mr. Curtis, I want you to know what a big fan I am. I used to watch all your movies in Tennessee.?
?Please, don?t call me Mr. Curtis,?
?So what do you want me to call you??
?Just call me Tony.? Then Curtis asked, ?What do I call you??
Elvis impressed him with his quit wit when he replied, ?Mr. Presley.? According to Curtis, from then on they had a great time together.
These photos show there is no question Tony Curtis was a big inspiration for the look young Elvis strived to achieve. Hold your thumb over Curtis? face in them and see if you don?t think they could just as likely be Elvis photos.
The Presley family lived in Apartment 328 of Lauderdale Courts in Memphis from 1949 to 1953. It is now open for public tours, and pictures of Tony Curtis are posted on the wall of Elvis? bedroom, representing the way it looked while he lived there. When Elvis told Tony Curtis he was a big fan, he wasn?t kidding.
The other Tony Curtis connection usually mentioned in the Elvis website reports is that Elvis copied the hair style young Tony Curtis favored ? the Ducktail. For those of you not familiar with this style, the hair on the sides is long and slicked back. On the back of the head, the hair from the sides meets in the middle for a sort-of part.
In the late 50s and early 60, the Ducktail was popular among the more independent and rebellious types. It was also known as Ducks Butt, or more commonly, Ducks Ass, shortened to D A in popular jargon. This hairstyle?s popularity even spread to England where it was called a Duck?s Arse.
Elvis Combing His Ducktail
This is the best picture I could find of young Elvis with a Ducktail. Note how the side hair is slicked back and a bit of the part in the back is visible.
Here is Elvis working on the back of his Ducktail. There are many photos of Elvis slicking back the side hair, but not too many of him fussing with the back. Here is another one.
Some of Elvis? 50s Rock & Roll contemporaries sported Ducktails too.
Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent
And here are two famous movie and TV characters with their ducktails.
Danny Zuko Fonzie
There is one other Elvis/Tony Curtis connection that I found in Elvis: His Life From A To Z by Fred L. Worth and Steve D Timerius. According to them, producer Stanley Kramer offered Elvis the co-starring role opposite Sidney Poitier in the 1958 movie The Defiant Ones. It never worked out (perhaps because Elvis had to go into the Army in March of that year), and Tony Curtis got the part. Too bad Elvis didn?t get it, because his desire for a career as a serious actor in dramatic roles would have been significantly enhanced. Getting the role worked out very well for Tony Curtis. It brought him his only Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Suppose Elvis had gotten the role and had been nominated for an Oscar. He might never have been stuck doing such silly films as Tickle Me and Clambake.

Restaurant is asking a beefy $100,000 for its version of Gaga's VMA outfit.

You would have thought that, by now, coverage of Lady Gaga's VMA meat dress had reached its expiration date ... sort of like the 50 pounds of steak that designer Franc Fernandez originally used to make the garment.
But, you'd be wrong. You see, with Halloween right around the corner, one New York City eatery is making headlines with their last-minute costume suggestion: A re-creation of Gaga's VMA garb, in all its sirloin-y splendor. The only catch? You've got to have deep pockets to afford it.
Yes, for only $100,000, the owners of New York's Old Homestead Steakhouse — appropriately located, as the Daily News points out, in the Big Apple's Meatpacking District — will make you your very own meat dress, complete with rib-eye leggings, Kobe beef boots and a necklace made of marrow bones.
The dress weighs a hefty 85 pounds and was created by Old Homestead owner Marc Sherry in response to Gaga's VMA outfit, which he deemed "very tacky" since it was made out of meager bits of meat. The restaurant's version, he points out, features only USDA Prime cuts of beef.
"I wanted it not to be a cheap skirt steak," he told the Daily News. "I wanted it to be a cut above."
And while the $100,000 price tag may seem a bit stiff, it does come with a designer goody bag filled with filet mignon, chocolate sauce, Kobe burgers and candy corn. Plus, as Sherry pointed out, there are added bonuses to wearing 85 pounds of beef.
"Wear it for an hour, have fun with it," he suggested. "Then you might have enough meat for six months for your freezer ... so that the $100,000 is not that expensive."
And, much like Gaga's meat dress, early reviews of the Old Homestead gown were also mixed: Mery Lopez, a waitress at the 142-year-old steakhouse who modeled the getup for the Daily News, described it as "heavy and greasy and gross," adding, "it is what it is — but I like it."

Singer says lack of phone and Internet reception in India was a problem with Loud album on the way.
By Mawuse Ziegbe
Rihanna was one of the celebrity faces expected at Katy Perry and Russell Brand's wedding in India last week, but the pop starlet didn't end up hitting the ceremony. The singer recently revealed to "Extra" that professional obligations for her upcoming LP, Loud, caused her to miss the nuptials.
"The album is coming out in two weeks, and I had to be available for a lot of approvals [and check] e-mails and stuff. We couldn't get any phone service or Internet service out there. It was scary," Rihanna said of the location, near a wildlife sanctuary in Rajasthan. "It would have been a little irresponsible [to go without Internet or phone service], but she understood, and I was glad that I could at least throw her her bachelorette party and be involved somehow."
Although Rihanna took the responsible road by staying plugged in and keeping the release of her latest album on track, she admitted she was bummed she couldn't attend the "Teenage Dream" singer's wedding. However, for Rihanna, having a pop-star pal means that Perry knew the importance of being accessible as an album is set to drop.
"I was crushed," she said. "I was really looking forward to it, but she understood."
Rihanna also revealed that she hasn't touched base with the newly minted Mrs. Brand, and said she got all of her details about the ceremony just like the couple's fans — from the media.
"[I know] only what you guys have been posting all the time. Like, 'Oh, she got henna on her feet and hands the night before.' I was like, 'That's cool,' " Rihanna said.
As the "Only Girl (In the World)" singer mentioned, she did get to send Perry off into wedded bliss in style, with a raging Las Vegas bachelorette bash in September.

Tina Knowles tells Ellen DeGeneres that her daughter is not pregnant.

Not so fast. By now, the Knowles family is used to the constant rumors about Beyoncé's reported pregnancies. But in an unusual move, the singer's mother, Tina Knowles, is slated to appear on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday to refute the latest claims.
The latest round of whispers started earlier this week when Us Magazine, citing an unnamed source, reported that the 29-year-old star was expecting her first child with hubby and fellow mogul Jay-Z.
But according to a clip of Thursday's show obtained by gossip site TMZ, Tina Knowles flatly denied those stories. "I heard that, but I'm here to clear the rumors up. The truth is it's not Beyoncé that's pregnant, it's me," she jokingly told Ellen. "No, it's not true. Not right now. I'm looking forward to it. With all the rumors, by now I should have about five or six grandchildren."
Tina does have one grandchild so far, 6-year-old Daniel Julez Smith, the son of her youngest daughter Solange.
Before the denial, Us reported that a source said, "B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet ... She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again." Another unnamed source claimed the singer was in her first trimester and that she considered the pregnancy "a gift from God and she's so happy."
This is the second time this year that a rumor has surfaced about Beyoncé being pregnant. In March, her representatives quickly shot down reports that Beyoncé was pregnant.
The couple, who married in 2008, have always kept their private life private, but Beyoncé has been open to talking about motherhood. Earlier this year, she spoke to Allure about the prospect of being a mother. "I definitely want to have a child, but I know from my nephew it's a lot. I hope that those things will just happen naturally. I still haven't had time to relax," she said.

Michael J. Fox was working in England in the summer of 1985 when "Back to the Future" hit theaters. Friends would call to tell him that the time-travel flick was shaping up to be the biggest film of the year, but the actor couldn't really wrap his head around the idea until he returned to the States.
"I came back, and it was a different world," Fox told MTV News.
That different world was on full display Monday night, as media, fans and the film's stars gathered in New York to celebrate both the 25th anniversary of "Back to the Future" and the two sequels the original spawned. All three movies have become part of the pop-culture lexicon, from quotable lines about DeLoreans and Calvin Klein to futuristic doodads like self-lacing Nikes and machines that instantly hydrate pizza.
"The thing that people ask me about more than anything else is the hoverboard," Fox said, referring to a levitating toy he rides in "BTTF II." "People want to know where they can get a hoverboard. I don't know. I wish I had a hoverboard because I was hanging from cranes and swung through the courtyard, dangling like a puppet and a hoverboard stapled to my feet."
Wherever they go, it seems, the stars and filmmakers are asked about the trilogy. Star Christopher Lloyd, who played wild-eyed scientist Doc Brown, finds people quoting back his iconic lines like, "Great Scott!" and, "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads."
Franchise co-writer Bob Gale gets the "Roads" quote a lot too. Director Bob Zemeckis' favorite line comes from Lea Thompson's character, Lorraine: "When I'm kissing you, it's like I'm kissing my brother."
Thompson, meanwhile, gets this gem, delivered by Lorraine about the kid, Fox's Marty McFly, she doesn't know is actually her son: "He's an absolute dream."

'Found footage' sequel scares up first place, with Clint Eastwood's supernatural 'Hereafter' lagging behind at #4.

"Paranormal Activity 2"
Photo: Paramount Pictures
"Paranormal Activity" scared its way into theaters last fall, yielding a massive worldwide total of $193.4 million on a shoestring budget of $15,000. One year later, the "found footage" fright fest has spawned a sequel — and unsurprisingly, audiences are finding themselves drawn to the franchise's thrills all over again.
The Box-Office Top Five
#1 "Paranormal Activity 2" ($41.5 million)
#2 "Jackass 3D" ($21.6 million)
#3 "Red" ($15 million)
#4 "Hereafter" ($12 million)
#5 "The Social Network" ($7.3 million)
"Paranormal Activity 2" earned $41.5 million at the box office in its first weekend in theaters, a spectacular result given the film's $3 million budget. The sequel's performance certainly isn't as impressive as the original "Paranormal Activity" — few things are, really — but the latest installment of the low-budget horror series won some notable records nonetheless, including best ever midnight opening and greatest opening night for an R-rated film.
Supernatural movies should know by now not to contend with the "Paranormal Activity" brand, but it appears that Clint Eastwood didn't get the memo. The director's "Hereafter" pulled in a mere $12 million fourth-place finish in its first weekend in wide release. Despite the star power of Matt Damon, "Hereafter" simply couldn't trump the built-in fanbase of "Paranormal 2."
With two highly successful films under its belt, "Paranormal Activity" has proven itself as a lucrative franchise for Paramount Pictures. But Paramount got an extra boost in the form of "Jackass 3-D," which won second place in its second weekend at the box office. Johnny Knoxville and his merry band of thrill-seekers' latest film saw a significant 57 percent drop from its opening weekend performance, but it still managed a solid $21.6 million haul thanks to the increased price of 3-D ticket sales.
Holdovers "Red" and "The Social Network" rounded out the top five with $15 million and $7.3 million respectively.
Upcoming Releases
Jigsaw stalks the box office once again with next weekend's release of "Saw 3D," but it remains to be seen whether the latest installment in the torture franchise can hold off the "Paranormal Activity" sequel over Halloween weekend.
Check out everything we've got on "Paranormal Activity 2," "Jackass 3D" and "Hereafter."

Victoria's Secret model 'never diva'd out' while shooting film, Yeezy says.

Selita Ebanks' life and career are about to change.
The Victoria's Secret model has garnered recognition for her stunning looks and notoriety for her short-lived engagement to Nick Cannon.
But now, predicts Kanye West, after her performance in his short film "Runaway," the New York native's acting prospects will be blossoming.
"She killed it," West told MTV News' Sway after the premiere.
"She surprised everyone," he continued. "But what I really loved about Selita: We had different ideas for different phoenixes and different people playing the role, and I went through a lot of craziness in order to get this film done — financing, different directors, locations, the dates — and she never wavered. She never got Hollywood, mollywood, model-wood, whatever they call it. She never diva'd out. She just believed in my vision and delivered. She brought the film to a whole 'nother level."
West also thinks the caliber of roles offered to Ebanks will improve as a result of her work. He pointed out the physicality in her role, noting the difficulty in communicating a character with limited vocals.
Yeezy deferred any credit for casting Ebanks, offering praise to the model and to a higher power.
"When she gets offered roles, beforehand, it was, 'Oh, we got a great idea for her: You can play a model,' " West explained. "But now, just the fact that there was so little dialogue, that's like the hardest acting. And she had to do it in all of her acting. And she never got out of character. It was amazing. Me, sitting here right now talking about this, it was all in God's hands. Certain things you're not in control of."

Alicia Keys has proven to be as selfless in real life as she is in song.
The singer held her 8th annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball event in New York on Thursday night. The fundraiser brought out Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Usher, Jay Sean, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston and more.
Jay-Z and Keys' husband, Swizz Beatz, performed "On to the Next One," and Jay later performed "Empire State of Mind." Monae also hit the stage, as did Keys and Sade, who performed a duet, "Love Is Stronger Than Pride."
"It's my heart and soul," Keys told MTV News about the organization she co-founded. "Since the beginning, we've been very driven to do incredible work. I'm proud to show what four to five women who are very dedicated can do."
The organization benefits children and families who have been affected by AIDS but can't afford to purchase medicine; the event reportedly helped raise $2.4 million.
This year, Keep a Child Alive introduced the "Buy Life" T-shirt. The shirt features a large barcode on the garment; donors can buy the shirt and scan the code with their smart phones to make a donation to the charity. Every time the code is scanned by a phone, a donation goes through. Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian and Katie Holmes are among the celebrity spokespeople appearing in ads for the shirt.
"It's like a dream to me to be among these people singing and performing, and opening people's eyes to what Keep a Child Alive can do," Keys said.

Lady Gaga's French fans will have to wait until the end of the year to catch the Monster Ball spectacle in concert. The pop superstar's tour backer, Live Nation, announced Wednesday (October 20) that her Paris dates, scheduled near the end of the month, will be pushed back as a result of ongoing strikes in the region.
"As a result of the logistical difficulties due to the strikes in France, Live Nation today announced that the Lady Gaga performances in Paris at Bercy previously scheduled for this Friday and Saturday 22 & 23 October are postponed until 19 & 20 December, 2010," read a statement posted on the star's website.
The European nation has been in the throes of civil upheaval for weeks since French President Nicolas Sarkozy announced a proposal to bump the minimum retirement age up from 60 to 62 and raise the age that citizens can receive pension benefits from 65 to 67. Many workers have gone on strike, including employees of France's oil refineries, leading to fuel shortages throughout the country.
"Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed," the statement continued. "The December 19th concert will replace the 22-October show and December 20th concert will replace the 23-October performance."
According to the statement, Gaga's little monsters have until mid-November to turn in tickets for a refund or swap out a new ticket for either of the winter dates.
"Fans with tickets to the rescheduled shows must exchange their tickets or claim for refund from now through November 14th at their point of purchase," the statement read. "Tickets dated October 22 and 23 will not be valid at the new dates." The statement concluded with "Lady Gaga apologizes to her fans for any inconvenience."
The postponed dates are a setback for an acclaimed global trek that has racked up cash around the world. Gaga's tour is projected to pull in roughly $200 million when it winds down in April 2011.

Demo CDs and DVDs of old performances are pulled from auction of music memorabilia.

Sorry, little monsters — your opportunity to own a relic from Lady Gaga's early days is no longer an option. Gaga's former manager, Bob Leone, and the memorabilia house Gotta Have It! are pulling the CDs and DVDs from Gaga's pre-The Fame career that were part of their "Rock & Roll Pop Culture Auction."
According to a press release, Gaga's management will buy the items for an undisclosed sum; a visit to the auction's website shows the lots have been removed.
Items up for auction included a demo CD from 2002, a copy of the 2005 CD "Stefani Germanotta," another CD from 2005 titled "Stefani Germanotta Band, Words," an original Lady Gaga disc from 2006, a 2006 CD called "Stefani Red and Blue" and a DVD containing a 2006 Gaga performance at the On Stage Italian Artists showcase.
"She was painfully shy — very different from who she is now," Leone said earlier this month in an interview with People. "She came to the open mics with her mother twice before she built up the courage to go onstage. ... She was prodigy-like. She was clearly a very good songwriter and keyboard player."
Leone, who worked with Gaga in the early years of her career, recalled that the superstar went through one very important transformation in 2006. "It was a very important six months because going into it, she was Stefani, and she was still writing pop music. By the end of that six-month period, she was officially Lady Gaga.
Even four years ago, Gaga knew exactly what she wanted. "Whenever someone asked her, 'what is your goal?' she would always give the same two-word answer: 'world domination,' " he remembered. "She's got it [now]!"
Are you bummed that rare Lady Gaga items were removed from the auction? Tell us in the comments!

DON T FORBID ME DON T LEAVE ME NOW DON T THINK TWICE IT S ALL RIGHT DOUBLE TROUBLE DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE
We all want Jennifer Aniston to find love -- which is why, whenever Aniston is seen within a three-foot radius of a new man, the gossip mill starts revving up. One of the guys caught in the paparazzi crossfire was Cougar Town's Josh Hopkins, 40, who was spotted sharing a meal with Aniston, 41. Hopkins, naturally, became her speculated boyfriend. The actress was filming her guest appearance on pal Courteney Cox's show at the time, and according to Hopkins, they just went out for a friendly dinner break. However, rather than being flattered by the media speculation, he was upset -- really upset.
"That was really, really weird and hurtful," Hopkins tells Parade magazine. "I've been working in this business for a long time and it's the first time I've ever found myself caught up in the middle of tabloid journalism. It was eye-opening to see that a publication could pick up a story from a completely fabricated, unnamed source and create a so-called story. It was just because of one picture. And in this day and age, it gets picked up on the Internet and blogosphere and gets perpetuated, and it just grows like wildfire."
Hopkins says the rumors felt "dirty and invasive," and gave him sympathy for "real celebrities" who deal with the tabloid frenzy every day.
"I don't know how some people keep from getting completely jaded and fearful," Hopkins says.
We're really impressed with the integrity Hopkins shows in this interview. The Jennifer Aniston dating story may have been false, but it would have been very easy for Hopkins to play along with it -- and use it to further his own career. (Gerard Butler was accused of doing this when the two were reportedly hooking up.) Instead, he chose to come clean and reveal that he was deeply shaken by the idea of lies -- even flattering ones! -- being deliberately spread about him. Sounds pretty reasonable to us. And Josh Hopkins sounds like a very decent guy. Funny, Jennifer Aniston could use one of those. Just sayin'!
Are you surprised Josh Hopkins actually fessed up that he was hurt by Jennifer Aniston dating rumors? Chime in below!

PHILADELPHIA — Drake got a hand starting the party as friends surprised him with cake and champagne onstage during his headlining set at Power 99's annual Powerhouse concert on Friday night. The Toronto star celebrates his 24th birthday on Sunday but the festivities kicked off early in the City of Brotherly Love.
Drake's Young Money cohort Nicki Minaj and his October's Very Own crew came out from backstage and wished the rapper a happy birthday; Nicki planted a birthday smooch on Drake's cheek. And while he appeared humbled by the toast, the MC was clearly itching to get back to entertaining the capacity crowd. He quickly launched into the booming "Say Something," crooning and rapping the number to the women in the stands of the Wachovia Center.
"This sh-- was all I knew, you and me only," he sang. "I did it all for you, still you were lonely/ We could have worked it out, but I get things change/ It's funny how someone's success brings pain/ When you're no longer involved/ That person has it all/ And you just stuck standing there, but ... ." Before Drake could get the lyrics out, the crowd gleefully jumped in to finish the chorus.
The other headliner on the bill, Nicki Minaj tore through a flurry of songs she's made guest appearances on, including the Young Money collabo "Roger That" and her blitz on Usher's "Lil Freak." Decked out in a blazer with shoulder pads that could shield a football player from a crushing blow, the Queens lyricist commandeered the stage on the horn-blaring "Roger That."
Her pink wig remained perfectly in place as the animated femcee's facial expressions changed as often the time ticked.
"I'm in the collared green 6, cornbred in the guts," she rapped. "Got the Halloween kicks trick-or-treating the clutch."
For "Check It Out," she passed the microphone to a male fan in the audience who picked up her lyrics while she and a female fan danced in time onstage, mimicking the mirror wave she showed off during her 2010 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show performance. After "Your Love," Nicki told her DJ to "play something Philly will like while I look for 10 boobs to sign." She then descended into the audience and a few close calls were captured on the arena's gigantic screen as Nicki Minaj put pen to flesh.
Rick Ross also incited a raucous ovation; the Miami don heated up his set instantly with opening numbers "MC Hammer" and "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)." Ross brought out Philly's own Freeway and the former Roc-A-Fella gunner delivered a rousing rendition of "What We Do."
Cali Swag District also performed, while Ne-Yo, Lloyd and Bobby V helped to keep things smooth as the three singers on the lineup.
T.I. protégé Meek Millz tore the house down with a prime-time performance. "I said Rose sipper, wrist all glitter, them h--s wouldn't mention y'all n----s on Twitter," he rapped during his breakout number "Rose Red." The Philadelphia upstart made his hometown proud.

'I'm getting more and more nervous,' 'Tik Tok' singer says of finding out whether she'll take home a Moonman.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jayson Rodriguez
Ke$ha is ready to storm the VMAs on Sunday to see if she can turn any of her three nominations into Moonmen. The "Tik Tok" singer — who is up for Best Female Video, Best New Artist and Best Pop Video — is not only feeling some pre-show jitters, she's still floored by the fact that she's up for any awards at all.
"I'm getting more and more nervous," she told MTV News on Saturday in Los Angeles, where she performed at the 2010 MTV VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat. "To be nominated at all has been just crazy. It's still kind of blowing my mind."
And there's a bit of fear in there as well. "I'm a little terrified about it still," she continued. "It's amazing really to be recognized for things I've written, really just being honest. And now I'm being nominated for three VMAs for that."
While she faces stiff competition across the board, she admits that her toughest rival might be Justin Bieber, who's also nominated for Best New Artist. "It's gonna be hard taking the Biebs down," she explained. "It's gonna be hard, but my fans — we can do it!"
Ke$ha may have a wild rep, but she only has nice things to say about the ladies she's facing in the Best Female Video category. "Gaga and Beyoncé and Taylor Swift — everybody in there I respect, so it's kind of like I have no disses to throw," she said. "That's a tough category."
Tune in tonight for the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles! The party starts with MTV News' VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You can still vote for Best New Artist at VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if you're a Verizon subscriber).
